FY 2005 funding for NSF is lower than requested, with funding in Mathematical and Physical Sciences reduced by 1.6% from the FY2004 level (see the report at http://www.aaas.org/spp/rd/nsf05c.htm). The 7km of road from Chilean Highway 23 to the Operations Support Facility (OSF) is now complete. 40 workers and 8 pieces of heavy equipment toil on the site. Tucson: Group is supporting reactivation of the ATF holography receiver. ATF: A final review was held of the AEC antenna, which was accepted by ALMA on Friday 17 December. The holography system is being reinstalled for further antenna tests. Mangum at ATF for antenna evaluation. AOC: Digitizer/demux (PHOBOS 2) acceptance production tests have been successfully completed at Bordeaux. Cable wrap design being studied. Computing all-hands meeting in Europe was successful. NTC: Reactivation of the holography receiver and transmitter are being supported. Window reflections in the B6 cartridge are being addressed. (HIA): B3 noise tests on Cartridge No. 1 about to begin. LO: x3 stage of multiplier reaches all but top end of 650 GHz band. Delay model firmware installed to support interferometry on 2-element correlator at the ATF, First prototype tunable filter bank card delivered to Bordeaux.
