Arp 299 = IC 694 (east) + NGC 3690 (west) = UGC 6471/2 = Mrk 171 = VV 118.
The nearest galaxy with Log(Lir)>11.5 and the brightest IR
bright galaxy within 50 Mpc (Ho=75).

Data not included in the above:
- mpg of rotated HI data cube:
R=1 Rot Y (color),
R=0 Rot X,
R=0 Rot Y,
R=1 Rot X,
R=1 Rot Y,
35" resolution Rot Y.
The hole in the center is due to HI absorption against
the central radio continuum source.

The HI data were obtained at the VLA in 12/94 & 4/95.
The B-, V- and R-band data were obtained with the UH88" in 6/95 & 1/96.
K-band data were obtained with the UH88" + QUIRC in 1/97.
