This page is meant to provide a resource for information regarding the calibration systems for the Atacama Large Millimeter Array (ALMA).
ALMA Calibration Specifications
Pointing: 0.6 arcseconds offset, 2 arcseconds all-sky
Primary Beam: 2-3% of maximum power
Amplitude: Absolute precision 1% for freq <= 300 GHz, 3% for freq > 300 GHz
Phase: 0.15 radian (8 degrees) at 230 GHz
Bandpass: 10000:1 to 100000:1
Baseline: 0.1 mm (differential phase error less than 5 degrees for two sources 5 degrees apart on the sky)
Polarization: 10000:1
