Abstract:

As the astronomical community becomes more computer oriented, the World Wide Web and E-mail are increasingly being used for proposal submission. Currently, in the High Energy Astrophysics Community, only information about the Principal Investigator, the abtract, and the proposed targets are submitted via E-mail or the WWW. We present here a design for Electronic Proposal Submission Software with the aim of complete proposal submission in mind using LaTeX and Perl. The primary goal of the design is implementation flexibility which is achieved by incorporating the Perl language into the design. The modular Perl design also allows for easy implentation into CGI scripts for the WWW.
