Session ID: D1.05   Type: poster, computer demo

Abstract:

Tcl is a shell/script language used to create interactive software programs. Several tcl-based tools that may be used for astronomical and other scientific applications have been created. One example is ptcl, which registers PGPLOT functions as tcl commmands, creating a powerful interactive plotting package. Also, useful tools based on the object-oriented extension of tcl, [incr tcl], will show how data within objects may be easily manipulated within the tcl environment.
