Abstract:
The Siberian Solar Radio Telescope (SSRT) [1] is one of the biggest
astronomical instruments. It is cross-shaped interferometer and is devoted
specially to the study of the solar activity in the microwave range. Since
1992, fast observations have started to study the fine time structure of
flare manifestations in the microwave range, such as spikes [2]. The way of
forming its response is rather specific (till 1995, the only mode of
observations was 1-dimensional one), so various programs to process its data
were required. Additionally, fast observations provide us with a great
amount of data which intends implementation of the special techniques for
previewing and processing of this data. To solve these problems, a set of
IDL programs was developed which provides the following means:
- looking through the records and viewing data in various representations;
- measurement of a radio source size, flux, and its location on the Sun;
- building of high-sensitivity 1-d images, etc.
The features of the programs are as follows:
- widget-based interface;
- use of 3 and more graphics windows simultaneously to make work
comprehensive;
- the possibility of viewing and processing of the SSRT data together
with optical or X-ray images;
- providing the programs with various supporting tools to make the
work effective;
- use of the library worked out by our group.
We welcome any interest and cooperation.
