A new software tool, called FV, for visualizing the contents of any FITS format file is now available. FV has been written in Tcl/Tk and uses a new FitsTcl extension which in turn uses the new C version of FITSIO to read and write FITS files. FV provides a spreadsheet-type display for viewing or editing the entries in any FITS header or FITS ASCII or binary table. Graphical plots can be produced from the values in any table column, and FITS 2-dimensional images can be displayed and manipulated. FV should run on most Unix, PC, and Mac machines and other platforms that are supported by Tcl.
