Abstract:

The radio telescope RATAN-600 allows us to carry out multiwave simulataneous observations using the wide band radiometers at 0.968, 2.31, 3.95, 7.69, 11.1, 22 GHz. Thus, we may account the influence of atmosphere using high frequencies obsevations and the Galactic background using low frequencies or to observe instanteneous spectra of radio sources.

Using these features we have created flexible astronomical data processing system (FADPS), operating in OS Linux, Solaris, Sun OS, Xenix, Interactive UNIX.

Methods of FADPS construction are described.

The system includes commands of gauss-analysis (to estimate parameters of sources and to decompose them in separate components), non-linear smoothing and averaging, background calculation and subtraction, iterpolation, convolutions, visualisation in X-window and others, reads and writes data recorded in FITS and FITS BINARY TABLE format.

These commands may be executed under the UNIX with scripts or using special shell for our data processing system in the X-window system.

Also FADPS operates with spectra of radio sources, recorded as FITS TABLE data. The system allows us to fit a spectrum by a set of curves with weighing spectral points, to calculate spectral indices and fluxes. This system is connected with the database CATS, operated at the RATAN-600. Different stages of data reduction and results are shown in figures.

The system has been worked out in "C" algorithmic language. All codes are open and may be free distributed. At present the additional Tcl/Tk interface is created.
