AVHRR Land Pathfinder Data Set ( AVHRR )
The Pathfinder AVHRR Land data sets are global, multichannel, land surface data derived from the Advanced Very High Resolution Radiometers (AVHRR) on the NOAA/TIROS operational meteorological satellites (NOAA-7, -9, and -11) which provide a continuous daily and composite data set from July 1981 through the present. These data, when complete, will enable studies of global vegetation and surface characteristics over more than a decade. Every effort has been made to provide a consistently processed data record by cross-calibrating instruments and minimizing changes to the processing algorithm during the processing of the 1981 to present data.

The VLBI group at the Geodetic Institute of the University of Bonn (GIUB) has been persuing the use of Very Long Baseline Interferometry for Geodesy and Astrometry since the late seventies and is operating one of the few existing centers for the scheduling, correlation and postprocessing of geodetic VLBI observations.
Cecil and Ida Green Piñon Flat Observatory ( PFO )
PFO is operated by the Institute of Geophysics and Planetary Physics of the University of California, San Diego (IGPP-UCSD), and is intended to measure, as accurately as possible, crustal deformation in a tectonically active area, so as to improve our understanding of the earthquake cycle, and so improve estimates of the earthquake hazard throughout southern California. It is also intended to serve as a testing ground for new geophysical instrumentation. Investigators from throughout the world operate instruments at this site.
Centre de Donnees de la Physique des Plasmas ( Plasma Physics Data Centre - CDPP )
The CDPP (Centre de Données de la Physique des Plasmas) is a data centre serving the space plasma physics community. Its primary purpose is to preserve data relevant to the physics of naturally occurring plasmas, especially data from experiments which are either French or have strong French participation. The CDPP both renders these data accessible, and facilitates their exploitation. The CDPP is located in Toulouse (France), where it has its two principal components, one supported by the CNES (Centre National d'Etudes Spatiales), and the other by the CESR (Centre d'Etude Spatiale des Rayonnements).

Global Change Data and Information System ( GCDIS )
The Committee on Earth and Environmental Sciences (CEES), as prescribed by the Global Change Research Act of 1990, established a program whereby the United States Global Research Program (USGCRP) members committed to work together with each other, academia, and the international community to make it as easy as possible for researchers and others to access and use global change data and information. Toward this end, agencies participating in the USGCRP organized the Global Change Data and Information System (GCDIS) to take full advantage of the mission resources and responsibilities of each agency and to link the services of these data and information resources to each other.

Imager for Magnetopause-to-Aurora Global Exploration ( IMAGE )
IMAGE is a MIDEX class mission, selected by NASA in 1996, to study the global response of the Earth's magnetosphere to changes in the solar wind.
International Earth Rotation Service ( IERS )
The mission of the International Earth Rotation Service (IERS) is to provide timely and accurate data on the Earth's rotation and to maintain the International Celestial Reference Frame and the International Terrestrial Reference Frame.
The IERS is an interdisciplinary service that maintains key connections between astronomy, geodesy and geophysics.
