Discoveries with the Green Bank Telescope: The Year in Review

Abstract:

This talk will review some of the discoveries made using the Green Bank Telescope in 2014 including structure of the Lunar surface, a diamond "as big as the Ritz", interstellar rocks, a dark-matter dominated failed(?) galaxy, the distance to the Pleiades and more, and will look ahead to the new instruments that will transform GBT capabilities in the coming years. Complete and unexpurgated, and suitable for all ages.
