Measuring 30 GHz Source Counts using GBT+CCB and Secondary Anisotropies in the Arcminute Scale CMB

March 14

Abstract:

At arcminute scales (l > 2000) the Cosmic Background Imager (CBI) finds strong evidence of secondary anisotropies. The primary uncertainty in this measurement is due to poor characterization of the point source foreground at 30 GHz. The Caltech Continuum Backend (CCB) was constructed for use on the GBT in making continuum flux measurements at 30 GHz, and has been used to measure fluxes of nearly 2000 point sources at 30 GHz.
