We will discuss some of the cost, power and performance issues for 300-1000MHz aperture array and how then can be solved. Given that an aperture array for this frequency range can be constructed, we will mention some of the benefits of the AA for science and how this development is highly complementary with the work in the US for the higher frequency dishes and wide-band feeds.
