The Atomic & Molecular ISM in Starburst Rings

June 26

4:00PM, Room 230, NRAO, Edgemont Road

Abstract:

Collisional systems like the Cartwheel and AM0644-741 are interesting examples of intense star formation taking place in the outskirts of disk galaxies. They also shed light on the triggering and suppression of starburst activity on large scales. I'll show some recent (and brand new) results.
