Box 252-21, Hobart, Tasmania 7001, Australia The VLA Low-Frequency Sky Survey Rereduced (VLSSR) is a 74 MHz continuum survey covering the entire sky north of -30 deg declination. Using the VLA in BnA and B-configurations, we map the majority of the entire survey region at a resolution of 75" and with an average rms noise of 0.08 Jy/beam. The VLSS is a joint project by the National Radio Astronomy Observatory (NRAO) and the Naval Research Laboratory (NRL). The National Radio Astronomy Observatory is a facility of the National Science Foundation operated under cooperative agreement by Associated Universities, Inc. Basic research in radio astronomy at the NRL is supported by 6.1 base funding. The principal data products are: (1) A set of 349 continuum images (Stokes I) of size 14 x 14 deg which are distributed on a grid designed such that adjacent images overlap by at least 2 deg. (2) A catalog of discrete sources on these images created by fitting a elliptical Gaussians to all sources detected at the 5 sigma level or higher. The original survey (VLSS) is documented in: Cohen, A. S., Lane, W. M., Cotton, W. D., Kassim, N. E., Lazio, T. J., Perley, R. A. Condon, J., Erickson, W. C. 2006. "The VLA Low Frequency Sky Survey: Methods and Preliminary Results", 2007, AJ, 134, 1245-1262 The rereduction (VLSSR) is described in: Lane, W. M., Cotton, W. D., Helmboldt , J. and Kassim, N. E. 2012. "VLSS Redux: Software Improvements applied to the Very Large Array Low-frequency Sky Survey", Radio Science, 47.
