  • Molecular Constants:
  • A = 37945 (10) MHz
  • B = 6282.904 (4) MHz
  • C = 5386.868 (4) MHz
  • Dipole Moment 4.2 Debye (Calculated by Alberts, I. L., Grev, R. S., & Schaefer, H. F., III. 1990, J. Chem. Phys., 93, 5046 )

Interstellar detection by Apponi, McCarthy, Gottlieb and Thaddeus ApJ (Letters) 516, L103.

Seven transitions of this molecule have been detected toward the evolved carbon star IRC+10216 using the NRAO 12m radiotelescope. The molecule is rhomboidal in shape, planar, and highly polar.
