Notes:
This disrupted group of galaxies is almost certainly
part of a merging system. There are at least six distinct optical
components brighter than I = 22 within a three arcsec radius of the
radio emission peak. At a z = 0.585, the corresponding linear
separation is about 20 kpc and the absolute magnitude, MB =
-21. The radio emission, if due to star-formation alone, corresponds
to a SFR of about 49 M
yr-1.
This compares to the estimate given by Rowan-Robinson et al.
(1997) of about 22
M
yr-1
from a 7 µm flux density of 52 µJy.
