Notes:
The identification is with the galaxy to the north which lies at a redshift
of 0.557. The object located about two arcsec to the south is at z =
0.555, corresponding to a physical separation of about 15 kpc if they are at
the same recessional velocity. This possibly merging system has several
prominent emission lines including [OII], [OIII], and
H
with P Cygni
profiles (Cowie et al. 1997). The galaxy is rather blue (B-V =
0.6) and has an H+K magnitude of 19.0 (Cowie et al. 1997). It is
also listed in the ISO catalog of Goldschmidt et al. (1997) with
S15 µm = 319 µJy. With L8.5 GHz =
1022.5 W/Hz, this system has an estimated star-formation rate of
31 M
yr-1.
Rowan-Robinson et al. give a SFR
17 M
yr-1.
The radio spectral index is
= 0.7 ± 0.2.
