           SECOND ANNOUNCEMENT: FIFTH ANNUAL JANSKY SYMPOSIUM

Attached below is the schedule for the 5th Annual Jansky Symposium, 
to be held on Friday, November 3 in the NRAO Edgemont Road auditorium. 
The Symposium will feature short talks by scientists from NRAO and UVa 
on a wide variety of astronomical topics. 

This year's Jansky Symposium will run from 9:00am-5:10pm, with a break
for lunch. During lunch, pizza by the slice will be available for
purchase in the NRAO conference room. In addition, immediately
following the final talk of the Symposium, a barbeque supper will 
be held at NRAO. The barbeque will be free to all Symposium attendees.

This year's annual Jansky Prize Lecture will take place on the evening of
November 3, at 7:30pm in Gilmer Hall on the UVa grounds. 
Prof. V. Radhakrishnan, former director of the Raman Research 
Institute of India, will present his talk entitled
"Astronomy's Devices" in a lecture open to the general public.
