Starting Python at Green Bank under Linux

First, set up the necessary environment variables

  $ source /home/gbt7/igkya/igkya.bash  or igkya.tcsh

The start the Python interpreter

  $ python
  Python 2.2.2 (#11, May 29 2003, 07:28:51)
  [GCC 2.96 20000731 (Red Hat Linux 7.2 2.96-112.7.2)] on linux2
