Estimated Thermal Emission from Bright Stars

This table list all stars which have an estimated thermal emission greater than 5 mJy at 230 GHz, plus the sun viewed from 10 pc distance. The diameters and fluxes were estimated using cataloged visual magnitudes and spectral types to derive bolometric magnitudes and effective temperatures. Then, assuming that stars may be approximated by black body emission, the angular diameter and flux density at mm wavelengths may be estimated. Estimates are only that, with uncertainties which may be large.
