Notes (from the published papers): The double lobe radio galaxy, Cygnus A, is one of the most luminous radio galaxies known. At 2 cm, the nucleus contains less than one percent of the total luminosity. The two-sided structure seen in our VLBA image is shown more clearly in the images of Sorathia et al. (1996) and Krichbaum et al. (1998) at 0.7, 1.3, and 6 cm.
