This directory contains the VERIFITS program that will verify whether
any FITS file conforms to the FITS standard.  VERIFITS is a stand-alone
version of the fverify task in the FTOOLS package.


verifits.doc  - documentation about verifits
verifits.for  - source code.  This must be compiled and linked with the
                FITSIO library

verifits_sun        - executable for SUN unix SPARCstations
verifits_alpha_OSF1 - executable for DEC Alpha running OSF/1
verifits_vax.exe    - executable for DEC VAX/VMS systems
verifits_decstation - executable for DECstations running Ultrix
