Issues

A list of unresolved issues related to SDRecord:

• What impact with the planned visibility in Glish of the aips++ Measures, units and coordinate information have on data.desc?
• It should be possible to associate multiple data fields with a single header - this would be particularly useful for closely related data - such as that found in an image. This needs to be described.
• History - SDCalc functions need to add to this. What does it look like? How much bloat will this cause if users forget to trim this record? Which functions should add to this - all functions which add information to an SDRecord or alter existing information or only those which alter existing information?
• The values listed above only cover some of the information which can be found in a MeasurementSet. Is this a sufficient list? There is also some information which is missing from the standard MeasurementSet. At some point this deficiency should be corrected. What changes would be necessary to a MeasurementSet so that it would be easy to store the more flexible data structure of an SDRecord (i.e. that in data.desc)?
