• The SKA (Ron Ekers, invited): best damn talk of the conference IMHO. "Software is a Capital Cost; Hardware is an Operational Expense"!

• James Webb Space Telescope (formerly NGST); interesting but not much on Software, other than reuse existing infrastructure

• VLT Adaptive Optics (slow talk): aiming for "end-to-end" (beginning to end?)
