4 Making Connections

This section describes how to use the ViewStation's dial-out functions to place various kinds of video conference calls.

Any call can be dialed manually using the Video Phone utility, but you will normally use a shortcut stored in your ViewStation's Address Book or Speed Dial Menu. Sections 4.1 and 4.2 describe these utilities. Section 4.3 gives instructions for calling other NRAO sites over the Intranet, and Section 4.4 describes how to call external sites via ISDN. Section 4.4.3 gives instructions for dialing into the NRAO over ISDN.
